Studio J recently welcomed the team behind Extra Medium Stuff to film an episode of their popular YouTube trivia series right here at Black Valve Media.
Extra Medium Stuff has built a huge audience around high-energy trivia competitions, bringing contestants together to test their knowledge across everything from history and science to movies, music, sports, pop culture, and more. Their channel has grown to more than 300,000 subscribers, with several videos reaching millions of views.
For their latest production, the Extra Medium team transformed Studio J into the set for one of their signature trivia competitions.
It was especially exciting for us to see the studio used for a production like this. With a large open shooting area, white cyc, lighting grid, and plenty of room for cameras, contestants, crew, and production equipment, Studio J can be adapted for much more than a traditional studio shoot.
Productions like Extra Medium Stuff are a great example of what we envisioned when creating Studio J: a flexible production space where creators can come in with an idea and build the environment they need around it.
We loved having the Extra Medium team in the studio and seeing the finished video come together.
