Michael Chopra
Michael’s passion for filmmaking stems from a lifelong fascination with how film can deeply impact the individual viewer. A Cleveland native, he graduated from Saint Ignatius High School in 2020, and is currently studying Film & Digital Media at Loyola University Chicago. His experiences on film sets include acting as a cast member on a Netflix production and serving as first assistant director for two student films. He is grateful for the opportunity to develop his filmmaking skills both technically and artistically, with guidance from the professionals at Black Valve Media.
Evelyn Engle
Evelyn started seasonally working for Black Valve Media in early 2022, and is grateful for the experiences and opportunities she’s gained since. Evelyn is from Stow, Ohio and graduated in 2020 from Stow Munroe Falls High School. She is currently a rising senior at Miami University of Ohio where she is studying Media Culture, Film, and Theatre Arts. Her experiences on set started in 2021 on a Netflix movie where she worked as a Set Dresser. She then worked as an Assistant Director Production Assistant on a Universal film in the summer of 2022. She’s also worked as a PA on commercials and smaller union projects, and has learned valuable information about film and the industry. She strives to learn more everyday, and knows she can do so here at Black Valve Media.
Celia Andrews
Celia is a Lakewood native who graduated from Magnificat Highschool in 2019 and now attends The Ohio State University where she majors in Moving Image Production with minors in Film Studies and Business. She has created short films, two of which have been featured in the Mad Royal Film Festival and worked as the cinematographer on a peer’s senior thesis film. Recently she directed a documentary and is looking forward to continuing producing documentary videos at The Lantern this coming year. She is excited to use the skills she has developed at Black Valve to elevate her future work.
